Finally, goodbye Winter! It was the first day of Spring, yesterday. Although, before I will start with fresh posts like: ‘Colour in interiors’, ‘Spring! Time for changes’, ‘New collections s/s 2016’, I would like to present you a rather cold and a bit raw interior, yet with no-nonsense.
To finish the Winter period I picked the house interior of the great chef behind NOMA, the restaurant in Copenhagen that has been awarded three times Best Restaurant of the World. Impressive! René Redzepi, the 38-year-old chef, has a beautiful house and like his restaurant the home is refined and designed with a subtle elegance. With its visible wooden structure, white interiors and the old, big chimney in the kitchen, it reminds me of mountain chalets. The wooden floors are made of oak wood, from Dinesen, specialized in a very high quality craftsmanship. The kitchen and bathroom closets are made of the same wood. I must say, the kitchen is a real masterpiece! The home’s interiors are furnished with beautiful finds from flea markets, gathered throughout the years.
